Festival de la Langosta
The Tulum Lobster Festival is more than a culinary fair — it is a living expression of the region’s deep-rooted fishing heritage. In Punta Allen, lobster fishing is one of the main economic activities and has been practiced in an artisanal and sustainable way for decades.

Our mission
The Lobster Festival in Tulum was born with a clear mission: to promote the responsible and sustainable consumption of lobster sourced from the fishing cooperatives of Punta Allen, one of the most renowned regions for high-quality, artisanal fishing in the Mexican Caribbean.
This festival not only celebrates one of the region’s most iconic ingredients, but also aims to create a local gastronomic identity through a signature dish: lobster with coconut, a tribute to the tropical and coastal flavors that define Tulum.
Our vision
The festival also promotes the strengthening of gastronomic tourism in Tulum, attracting travelers, foodies, and seafood lovers who seek authentic flavors with social impact. By consuming lobster sourced from the Punta Allen cooperatives, visitors directly support local fishing communities, encouraging sustainable practices and fair trade.
The Tulum Lobster Festival is more than just an event—it's a movement that unites gastronomy, culture, tourism, and sustainability, elevating the culinary prestige of the region and positioning Tulum as an international benchmark for flavor and innovation.
